Daarom kan de huidige immunotherapie behandeling met Pembrolizumab niet meer doorgaan en die wordt stopgezet. Ik ga nu een lokale bestraling krijgen op het gebied aan de rechter long waar de longtumor zit. En de oncoloog gaat maandag met het Multidisciplinair Overleg Team bespreken hoe nu verder. Of een combinatie van lokale bestraling met een vorm van chemotherapie. De oncoloog gaat ook maandag met het Anthonie van Leeuwenhoek kankerziekenhuis in Amsterdam bellen om te vragen of zij ideeën hebben. voorlopig moet ik het met lokale bestraling doen tot een beslissing is genomen over een andere vorm van therapie. Pas als ik immunotherapie en chemotherapie heb gehad kan ik in aanmerking komende voor een experimentele studiebehandeling zoals Kras-therapie. Dat gaat dan over een celmutatie in het DNA van de tumorcellen. Het was echt hard voor mij vandaag en ik heb ook gehuild toen de oncoloog mij dit vertelde. Ron was er ook bij. Maar ik ga niet opgeven. Ik ga door met vechten om zo lang als mogelijk te blijven leven.
